Nitrile Rubber(NBR)

Nitrile Rubber is also called as nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR, Buna-N), a synthetic rubber that provides excellent resistance to silicone greases, hydraulic fluids, alcohols, and water. It also has a favorable balance of good compression set, high abrasion resistance, and high tensile strengths. Nitrile Rubber is ideal for any use where the rubber will contact oiled surface or be exposed to oil or fuel. In engine systems, it can be used to produce parts such as gaskets, seals, hydraulic hoses, carburetor and fuel pump diaphragms and O-rings. Silicone Rubber

Silicone is one of the materials of choice for any application that deals with environmental factors that can break down other solutions. However it makes up for that with a great resistance to extreme temperatures. Organic rubber has a carbon-to-carbon backbone which can leave it susceptible to ozone, UV, heat and other ageing factors that silicone rubber can withstand well. SBR

SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) is a low cost non-pil resistant material. It has good water resistance and resilience up to 70 durometer; compression set becomes poorer with higher durometer; generally satisfactory for most moderate chemicals and wet or dry organic acids. SBR is not recommended for ozone, strong acids, oils, greases, fats and most hydrocarbons.

Fluorocarbon rubber (FKM Viton®)

FKM VITON MATERIAL

Fluorocarbon rubber (FKM Viton ®) has excellent resistance to high temperatures, ozone, oxygen, mineral oil, synthetic hydraulic fluids, fuels, aromatics, and many organic solvents and chemicals. It has a higher resistance to swell in high octane and oxygenated fuel blends. Low-temperature resistance is normally not favourable and for static applications is limited, although in certain situations it is suitable down to -40°F (-40°C). Gas permeability is very low and similar to that of butyl rubber. Special fluorocarbon compounds exhibit improved resistance to acids, fuels, water, and steam.
